Post from Spotify in Chrome

If you listen on Spotify in a web browser, this free add-on puts a Post to JamDrop button on the page, so you do not have to copy and paste links.

What you get

  • A green Post to JamDrop button on song and playlist pages
  • The song or playlist name filled in for you
  • A quick form for your caption and genres before you publish
  • Sign in once and stay connected

Set it up once

  1. Find JamDrop in the Chrome Web Store and tap Add to Chrome.
  2. Open link your JamDrop account, sign in, and wait until you see Connected.
  3. Head back to Spotify. You are done with setup.

Share a song

  1. Play the song you want to share.
  2. Click the song title in the bar at the bottom so you are on that track's page.
  3. Tap the green Post to JamDrop button.
  4. If nothing opens, click the JamDrop icon in your browser toolbar instead. Sometimes Chrome blocks pop-up windows.
  5. Add your caption, pick genres, and post.

Share a playlist

  1. Open the playlist in Spotify (the full list of tracks should be on screen).
  2. You do not need music playing. Pause if you want.
  3. Tap Post to JamDrop or the JamDrop icon in your toolbar.
  4. Add your caption, pick genres, and post.

Share a live Jam

Live Jams only run inside the Spotify phone or desktop app, not on the website. To post one to JamDrop:

  1. Start your Jam in the Spotify app and tap Share → Copy link.
  2. Paste that link into Chrome and open it.
  3. Tap Post to JamDrop, describe the vibe, and publish.

You can also post a Jam link straight on JamDrop without the add-on.

Something off?

  • Wrong song? Open the track page from the player bar first, then post.
  • Wrong playlist? Make sure the playlist page is open, not just whatever is playing.
  • No button?Refresh the Spotify tab. If it still missing, turn the add-on off and on in Chrome's extensions settings.

Your data

The add-on only looks at the Spotify page when you choose to post. More in our privacy policy.
